Yes, I beleive the script has the number and types of arguments correct. When the number of arguments is incorrect, Gimp reports the error as such. When the types are incorrect it often reports the error as such. I've looked at examples out on the net and beleive that I've got the arguments to that particular function call correct...which leads me to beleive that something is wrong with the image that is preventing it from being written as the JPEG format. Writing as a GIF failed when the image was RGB instead of indexed. I just don't know of any scenario, other than layers, that would prevent it from being written as a JPEG file.
