-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Greetings, Ive got a laptop with no CDROM and no Floppy installed. Its got a PCMCIA network card in it, but im haveing problems with loadlin on it. When I boot into winders and use loadlin, but it seems to not want to use an initrd bigger than 4mb. I seem to remember things about this with ramdisk max sizes, but lilo has not problems with the same kernel/initrd (save for it cannot find root) What im wondering is if there is an easy way (without hacking my own custom kernel and initrd) to convince loadlin to boot a kernel and mount an image of the install CD on loopback. Has anyone got any ideas on this? Or am I looking forward to a long weekend of hacking on this ;) Cheers -ian reinhart geiser - -- - --:Ian Reinhart Geiser <geiseri@yahoo.com> - --:Public Key: http://geiseri.myip.org:8080/publickey.txt - --:Jabber: geiseri@geiseri.myip.org - --:Be an optimist -- at least until they start moving animals in pairs to Cape Canaveral. ~ Source Unknown -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+2gtGPy62TRm8dvgRAq/TAKCgr3Z0zKHJXpA+KOgUHv9JIP2KoQCgrZOj YLBi17sXsB8nmPcURwf9opM= =QFN+ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug
