right, sorry, I meant no internal NATing.  You are correct in that there is
only one ip.  This is handled by the netgear router.  It then uses NAT for
the internet connection.  I'm just trying to avoid having two separate
networks in the house (and b/c my bro wants to be able to access stuff on my
computer)

If you only have one IP, I'm not sure how you can avoid using NAT. I
think by masquerading you mean what I mean when I write NAT.

NAT's not so bad, though.
