right, sorry, I meant no internal NATing. You are correct in that there is only one ip. This is handled by the netgear router. It then uses NAT for the internet connection. I'm just trying to avoid having two separate networks in the house (and b/c my bro wants to be able to access stuff on my computer) -b -----Original Message----- From: plug-admin@lists.phillylinux.org [mailto:plug-admin@lists.phillylinux.org]On Behalf Of Jeff Abrahamson Sent: Monday, June 02, 2003 2:26 PM To: 'plug@lists.phillylinux.org' Subject: Re: [PLUG] Bridging two networks using linux On Mon, Jun 02, 2003 at 11:57:55AM -0400, Molnar, Bradley wrote: > I am currently at my parents house. If you only have one IP, I'm not sure how you can avoid using NAT. I think by masquerading you mean what I mean when I write NAT. NAT's not so bad, though. -- Jeff Jeff Abrahamson <http://www.purple.com/jeff/> GPG fingerprint: 1A1A BA95 D082 A558 A276 63C6 16BF 8C4C 0D1D AE4B _________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug
