I would be willing to coordinate some stuff and try to get some mentor types to volunteer some time too to do some mock interviews. Just off the top of my head it could work like this: PREP :-| Get like 4 to 10 people? :-| Each will choose the job they want / company they want to work for :-| Each will polish resume / vita (sp?) / cover letters / etc. for this position :-| Others will be assigned to do some research in order to play the roles of interviewers :-| This will take maybe two or three weeks Interviews :-| We all get together, in suits or whatever is appropriate, and do video-taped panel interviews :-| As a thoughtful, serious interviewer / trainer you can really benefit the interviewee :-| As an interviewee in a mock situation you can make mistakes in a safer place which wont lose chance at a job, and really see what areas need improvement :-| Video is great for seeing your own presentation, mannerisms, etc. Possible goals :-| Keep it non-judgmental :-| Constructive critism (sp!) :-| For interviewees: work on telling success stories; work on controlling the interview; work on successfully selling yourself _________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug
