I know, would that not be great if Microsoft employed such things in their
Internet Explorer (IE) browser. I use Mozilla, but that doesn't help the

No excuse! Give them Mozilla for Windows.


I am trying to decide if converting the HOSTS file to DNS records instead
may be a worthwhile (and cross platform) endeavor.



Sounds like a good idea. It would be even better if it becomes user configurable. Maybe a little GTK+ front end? No... An HTML interface? The thing is, I wouldn't want it to block too many sites that I'm not aware of.
