I'm running dosemu 1.2 under Mandrake 9.1 It complains that it likes it's own font, vga.pcf, and cannot find it. Okay. So I follow the instructions in the documentation and copy vga.pcf to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc. Then I type: mkfontdir in that same directory. I see that the fonts.dir now has the vga font in it. I've restarted the X server, and then I try to use it (just to test it out) like this: xterm -fn vga which fails. Even the mandrake utility drakfont cannot see it (or install it.) Anybody encounter fonts as stubborn as this before? What, pray tell, am I missing here?
