[PLUG] no mouse or keyboard on debian

Greetings
I was trying to install debian woody on a fairly modern box. Athlon 800 with
an NVidia card. For some reason X seems to work save for no keyboard or
mouse. If i switch the PS/2 mouse with a USB one, the mouse works.

What is funny is SuSE has worked on this box for 2 years, along with win2k.
Has any one seen debian not be able to use the keyboard in X?

	Cheers
