Software Engineer

Responsibilities include: software development, systems and services monitoring, maintenance of existing network services, identification of new network service technologies, regular contact with Local Support Providers and the Central Help Desk, clients of IS Services, and key vendors. The Programmer Analyst, Sr may sometimes provide functional area leadership, managing the activities of other staff members, and consultants.

Requirements:
-Bachelors degree required; technical area preferred
-5 years UNIX network application programming experience in C
-Experience in both sides of client/server and web programming
-Experience with network security tools and practices
-Some database administration experience a plus
-Some Windows and/or Macintosh programming experience
-Strong organizational skills, and strong written and spoken communication skills
-Demonstrated ability to handle large technical projects
