[PLUG] grabbing registry entries of ms machines from linux

hey guys,

does anyone know of an easy way to fetch specific registry entries
from 98/nt/2k/xp machines on a linux server?  the only thing i've
found so far that might do the trick are utilities from the samba-tng
project, which i haven't investigated yet, and it looks like a pretty
big package for a relatively small task.
