[PLUG] Another Samba question... W2k- ADS

rh9 & w2k server

all is well, linux to w2k.
not so in reverse.
LinuxSrv10 is seen in network neighborhood.
double click ... not accessible, network path not found.
can ping by ip address and name

testparm OK

same usernames/passwords for linux dir [rh4w2k] as W2k box.

i'm guessin i'm missin some active directory specific parameters.
any thoughts.

using samba version that came with rh9.

Subject: [PLUG] One last Samba question...

Now that you have helped me get Samba browsing and printing working, I
have one last configuration problem.

I want to mount the windows shares through /etc/fstab. Currently I
mount them as needed and have a couple of bash scripts set up so that I
don't have to remember all of the mount parameters. What follows is a
typical command:

    smbmount //chubby/arthur_home /mnt/chubby/arthur -o

¨credentials=/home/arthur/.arthur_smb,uid=arthur,gid=arthur.fmask=777,dmask=
777¨

//chubby/arthur_home is essentially my ¨windows home directory¨
c:\windows\profiles\arthur\, so I have no security concerns with the 777
mask.
The credentials file stores my username and password set for the windows
share.
In short, I am trying to define as broad access as possible, and am
succeeding in that.

My problem is that despite the credentials file, the command prompts me
for my password before mounting. My concern is that this will prevent
the shares from automatically mounting at boot time via fstab, and I
have been warned that fstab problems will prevent booting.

Anyone see my problem with my mount command or any other suggestion with
mounting the shares at boot time?
