[PLUG] Caching DNS Server

Hi All,

I would like to setup a caching DNS server on my Linux box. Can anyone point me to the sources where I can find bind and named?
On the net, I have found out that bind(9.2.x) has a nameserver built with it, but I could not figure out where it is. Has anyone done anything like this before?
I dont wish to use RPM's cause they are old and hence the insistence on the source.

TIA.
