I just ran gpg --edit-key <username>.  It gave a more in-depth menu when
<username> was in my private keyring; one option therein is to adduid.
So, my answer to your question is "use gpg --help, and try things out" :)

No idea at this moment how to create with multiple addresses/UIDs.
