I recall this as a common Evolution/Mozilla issue from last years when I 
tried Evolution and subscribed to their list.  There is an xml file, but 
I don't recall the name and no longer have the list mail archived.  
Suggest you search the Evolution list archives where you will find a lot 
on this.
