Just a matter of historical record, Goliath of Gath, as a Philistine, was
probably armoured in the manner common the Greeks, He carried a sword and
three throwing spears. In his approach, David used his weapon of choice,
the sling, and dodged the spears thrown by his opponent. Good aim meant
that he did not hve to parry, sword to sword.
