Been using Fermi Lab's Scientific Linux distro since 3.0.1, no problems, using yum for updates. Production mode on some clusters I maintain. current: ftp://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/302/ website: https://www.scientificlinux.org/ We initially rebuilt our own distro using the directions from WBEL (we have some of our own kernel patches to roll in), but then other groups got in the mix and we figured it would save a LOT of time and energy to use a pre-rolled distro.
