We made good progress last night regarding our upcoming speaker schedule: * On November 3rd Bob Mader volunteered to speak about his observations of HP's use of open source software. * On December 1st Mark Dominus is scheduled to speak on the internals of qmail. This will be the third year (although non-contiguously) that he has given a December PLUG presentation. * No speaker is currently scheduled for for January 5th. * On February 2nd we'll have a third round of PLUG Lightning Talks. * On March 2nd Mark Hoffman will be speaking on hardware monitoring with lm_sensors and smartmontools. If you would like to give an hour-long presentation in January, or if you would like to give a 5-minute Lightning Talk in February, please let us know. In order for February to be successful we need approximately 8 speakers. Lightning Talks are great for topics that may not contain enough material to sustain a full presentation, or to get your feet wet if you're reluctant to commit to giving an hour presentation.
