I use my phone in that area all the time.
Strange, when I put in my zip code, it did the same thing.

Try doing www.tracfone.com enter the numbers they show
then click on buy phone, and put in your zip then.

I personally use the tracfone, and have been for a few years
now. My only gripe is out of your "local" area (about 20 miles)
every minute talked eats up two minutes of time, otherwise
it's a minute:minute usage.
