Hello, PLUGgers. Thanks to Mike Leone for telling me about this list. My question is this. I'm trying to install the XMMS multimedia player on my Mandrake 10.0 desktop, w/limited success. Each time, it tells me that I need to install GLIB 1.2.2 or better. So, I installed GLIB 1.2.9. But ./configure for XMMS told me that I actually had 1.2.10 installed. So, I tried to install GLIB 1.2.2- same result. I suppose the problem is that I need to remove the old version of glib entirely before I can install the new version. But how do I do that? I looked around for glib directories, and found quite a few- and I don't think that removing each one individually would be a wonderful idea.
