How was glib installed initially? RPM? As part of Mandrake? How did you install it the second time? RPM or source build? What does 'glib-config --version' report? How many copies of glib-config are on your system? 'which glib-config' may be able to tell you this, or whatever binary search tool Mandrake installs. One thing I've run into fairly often, if I mix RPMs and source installs, is that the install paths will not match for the two installs. You then end up with two copies of the library installed. That's not such a big problem, but the development pieces will conflict in various ways, depending on where they are. You may have two copies of the *-config utility, residing in different directories. You can also end up with two copies of headers, also in different directories. -- Kevin ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
