I'm not sure what you consider University City, but I'm in the process of
setting up a naked DSL line with Speakeasy at 48th and Baltimore.

It's one of those amorphous things -- defined as ... in whatever exchange area (Central Office) DCA has contracted with whoever, for whatever.


The last time I checked, probably about 18 months ago, service out of the Evergreen CO [38th and Chestnut] (which does not service 48th and Baltimore) was strictly available from Verizon. But contracts come and go.

The other issue which occurs... Speakeasy itself, like Cavalier, is totally dependent upon Verizon for the "Last Mile" copper (CO to your home) which can mean almost anything from nothing to a classic finger- pointing, 3-body problem.
