Michael,Note that k3b is *very* friendly and you shouldn't fear it in the slightest. Also, have you considered upgrading to 2.6 and getting rid of all of that ide-scsi emulation non-sense? 2.6's ide drivers handle native ide burning now. Thanks, I will try k3b sometime. No, I haven't really considered changing to 2.6, I've just been upgrading the same install for 3+ years. I may do a new install when I get a new machine probably in the next several months. I am that almost-mythical creature, the linux user who's neither an IT worker nor an Aunt Tillie set up with linux by an IT worker relative. So I have to do everything myself and learn everything new in my free time. I get a bit lazy sometimes...thank goodness for the PLUG list and others like it.
