So far nine people have expressed interest, and around half of those expressed a specific interest in beer. So: how about having a Linuxbiernacht to figure out who's interested in setting up a western suburbs PLUG chapter, who has time and energy, and various other logistical considerations? As far as meeting dates, I'd think that the third week of the month on a non-Wednesday day would be good for a permanent slot: that's a two-week offset and a different day of the week (maybe Monday or Tuesday?) from the primary PLUG meeting. To start, it might even be better to go for a bi-monthly schedule, so things don't start off hot only to burn out after a few months. Unforunately, it's the third week of February now, so it's a bit late to get something worked into most people's schedules for later this week. Setting a meeting for the third Monday of March would give everyone a month to get the word out. Hm, the Philly Perl Mongers sometimes have a social meeting on third Mondays, so that might not be the best day ongoing. Things have been pretty quiet on that front for a while, but it's still probably better to avoid conflicts. These are just my thoughts...feel free to disagree loudly or make your own suggestions. pls On Mon, 20 Feb 2006, W.
