This list periodically revisits the subject of cheap ways to run linux. I therefore thought this paragraph from this week's DWN might be of interest to some. Debian-Installer for Linksys NSLU2. Martin Michlmayr reported that basic support for Linksys NSLU2 machines has been included in the debian-installer. This is a sub $100 ARM device with 32 MB RAM, Ethernet and two USB ports on which one can attach a USB disk and run a full Debian system. One reason why only few people are working on the ARM port is probably the lack of a cheap platform, which has been fixed now. http://www.cyrius.com/journal/debian/beta2-nslu2 -- Jeff Jeff Abrahamson <http://jeff.purple.com/> +1 215/837-2287 GPG fingerprint: 1A1A BA95 D082 A558 A276 63C6 16BF 8C4C 0D1D AE4B Attachment:
