The only thing I can think of is something like a gtk theme causing
problems - I know there is at least one segfault issue with the gtk-qt
theme produced by kde, so maybe there are other problems as well with
gtk themese in xfce4.  In general, I've found it quite a bit quicker
than either gnome or kde, so I'm a bit at a loss, really.
