btw, The GA311 (gigabit NIC) works fine as well with FC5.
I use it to connect two FC5's gigabit NIC to gigabit NIC
  makes a fast connection. Since in my case, I don't require
  more than PC<->PC the cost factor isn't much different
  than with 10/100 NIC's (since no switch/hub is required).
