Dude, I'm not even on the grid.  I have a bunch of midgets that peddle bikes linked to generators all day.  Pft...batteries...

I just wanted to pop in here to say that I'm *not* looking for used
Cisco equipment, so I won't be interrupting the flow of the group.

Last but not least, what are we using for backup power at home?
I have one of those adorable slim UPSes, but I'm looking to go larger
capacity.

To make things more interesting, I'd also like 12vdc to run some radio
scanners.  Someone suggested hooking up some serious batteries to the UPS.
