out in the rain and the cold?  also, the lead and other toxins in the
CRT aren't really the best thing environmentally to be discarding in
the general trash pickup.  (I've often wondered why garbage companies
aren't more concerned/liable economically about receiving
hazardous/polluting materials.)

also, for working monitors, I think that a club at UPenn and some
other community centers (e.g. A-Space on Baltimore Ave.) will
warehouse them and then distribute them to poor/needy people.  of
course transport is an issue, but at least keep that in mind.
