Runs fine for me at 1280x800 with the latest proprietary ATI drivers released a few days ago. Haven't had any lock ups, performance has actually increased for me.

I have many computers.  This laptop is 1280x800 running NVidia
drivers.  I have another machine which is 1280x1024 with ATI...
