[PLUG] un-obscuring password fields

Nobody that concerns me ever looks over my shoulder at my home machine.  Is 
there a way to get it (in particular KDE) to echo passwords as I type instead 
of dots or asterisks?  I've gotten to be a way too spastic typist when it 
comes to long passwords.
