He or she will use network and security analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities as well as actual security violations. He or she will respond to security breaches by identifying the source and implementing measures to prevent its recurrence including educating faculty, staff, and students on appropriate security measures. This person will use and be capable of developing tools to respond to Drexel's unique needs to automate and improve the security and performance of the Drexel network. Test, Deploy, Troubleshoot Enterprise Firewall Server. Respond to security incidents of all types including RIAA violations, copyright, network abuse, system cracking, and viral outbreaks. This includes scripting tools where appropriate to automate or improve responses. Lead projects to identify and improve both system and network security. As part of the security team help establish standards and evaluate hardware and software products for use in improving host and network security. Build and maintain systems and write scripts to improve security on campus networks and systems.
