Well, that depends.  I'm cheap, and an extension cord is cheaper in both 
capital and running costs than Yet Another Gadget.  I also already know 
how to work what I have, and I want to learn yet another one-off 
interface like I want a hole in my head.

Having said that, I do appreciate the suggestion and in other 
circumstances I'd fully agree. :-)
