In Gutsy, kvm performance was unacceptable for GUI operating systems like Windows (character mode Linux ran fine). In Hardy's newer kernel, kvm performance is excellent. [Caveat: any time you run one file system on top of another, IO performance suffers. Don't use kvm for anything that needs fast IO. I don't know whether kvm supports iSCSI.] I wonder if kvm is a tongue in cheek reference to KVM, an inside joke for the developers. -- Bhaskar On Mon, Jul 14, 2008 at 2:08 PM, Gordon Dexter <gordon@texasdex.com> wrote: > For a minute there I thought you were talking about a KVM switch.
