I guess all I was trying to say is that any answer you could come up with would need to be pretty well qualified. (Which you are clearly well aware of.) I didn't ask it explicitly but I was trying to say that if you could provide us with more information about the reason you need info on ratios, we could probably help you find information more easily. We could also chime in on the ratios in similar companies we have familiarity with. Sorry if my response came across otherwise, it was admittedly more brief than it ought to have been. Assuming it's a tech company, there are still a lot of variables that come into play. Overall company size plays in (management, HR, customer service, and other supporting staff may grow disproportionally.) Some other things I can think of that would matter off the top of my head are number and types of products, shrink-wrapped software vs. non, general product maturity, internal vs external customers, number of
customers, number of users. Some of those could be ignored easily enough by nature of an "Average" but I would hesitate to ignore overall company size, number of (software) products, and high level nature of software (internal, external-shrinkwrapped, or external-installed/configured).

I don't honestly know of any resource you could use to base your numbers off of, so unfortunately I can't provide you with anything more specific. You might be best served by doing your own survey of willing companies and trying to find ones that most closely align in terms of size and products. I'm sure there are surveys you can find if you search around, but I don't know that they will be applicable to your scenario.
