I'm not familiar with the G1, but android has iptables support built
into the kernel. If you can get a command line you should be able to
forward packets. Of course, T-Mobile might be locking things down, so
it might not be possible without some serious effort. There's also the
issue of getting your PC on the same ip network as your mobile
(bluetooth?).
