By the way, standard CAT5 cable will not hold up ****over time**** outside. It is not water proof nor water resistant and will fail bringing all signal levels to ground. The insulation becomes extremely brittle with the cold and pressure. It must be outdoor/aerial/burial rated if any large amount is exposed to the elements. Just something to consider if you are running large amounts on the outside of your home.
