Though I have never had this problem with RDP, I had a total freeze with the VMWare console while trying to push antivirus software to my boss' desktop from a virtual server. The thing that surprised me was that I assumed the heavy lifting was taking place on the server and the target desktop, and least on my computer. Attachment:
