my first suggestion is to make sure that it's not firefox/iceweasel which
is acting silly.  it's a very frequently heard problem in #debian,
the solution to which is to delete your page history and try again (this
assumes you've apache+php set up correctly, which is pretty hard not to do
assuming you apt-got everything, since it's all automagic).
