[PLUG] Powerlessness, consequences of

Salutations, gentlefolk.

I'm running Kubuntu Linux 8.04.1, kernel 2.6.24-14, KDE 3.5.10, and 
Firefox 3.0.5.

Is there any way:
to get Klipper to 'save the contents of the clipboard to disk', without 
logging out or powering down ?

to get Firefox, when it says 'your previous session closed 
unexpectedly', to tell it 'reload the previous session from cache. (so I 
don't have to download everything again)' ?

Thanks very much for any help you can give me with these problems.
