[PLUG] Linux on latest generation MAC Mini

Title: Linux on latest generation MAC Mini

Has anyone had success installing any flavor of Linux on the latest generation Mac Mini hardware? I have used Ubuntu on the previous generation hardware quite successfully and have tried the latest Ubuntu desktop and server on the current generation hardware but it apparently does not have support for the DVD, network interface, or hard disk controller.
