On 8/3/2010 9:57 AM, Ron Kaye Jr had this to say: installed latest kde on ubuntu 10. not thrilled! i did apt-get install kubuntu-desktop what is aptitude? install individual kde component? Aptitude is (one of) the ways to install software on Debian-derived systems, like Ubuntu. It's a successor (of sorts) to apt-get. can i install both gnome and kde, and setup KDM so i can choose which to boot to? You should, sure. Just choose the session (Gnome, KDE) you want, on login. ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
