Was hoping someone can give me some advice on some Solaris issues I need to solve at work. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to this O/S so if I'm missing something obvious just let me know.

I have a number of Solaris Sparc machines that run compilation to build binaries and recently the hardware has started dying (Ultra 5s I believe). I need to know the cheapest, most efficient way of getting these machines back and running. I got a Solaris 8, Solaris 9, Solaris 10, and Solaris 2.51 box that are having issues (all sparc). They don't run anything that is really unique (just gcc, nfs mounts, and some cron scripts) so I am not really attached to trying to repair the current hardware. I was reading up on this zones/container stuff for Solaris 10 - my question is, could this zones stuff be something I can use to stuff all these O/Ss onto one server? If anyone has any good advice on the matter or can point me in the direction of some good consultants/re-sellers that would be cool as well.

Thanks in advance!
Mike
