[PLUG] Installing VNC server on Xubuntu |
Hi all, I have been trying to install any VNC server on Xubuntu, so far without success. Both tightvncserver and vnc4server install and seem to startup without error, but any time I try to connect a client I get "connection refused". SSH is working fine, and I can start the VNC server over the SSH connection, but get the same error when trying to connect a VNC client. I have found several tutorials on-line but none seem to match my system as far as file names, scripts and file locations. I have also checked the configurations on my Myth boxes which have VNC server enabled and working, but the location and contents of VNC related configuration and resource files is completely different. Anyone know of a tutorial / walk through that works for xubuntu 10.04. Thanks, Eric ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
