[PLUG] DIY Fabrication |
Hi all, Coincidentally relative to the next talk at North on Tuesday and again next month at West comes the following article via Slashdot: http://hardware.slashdot.org/story/10/12/10/1810252/Cheap-3D-Fab-Could-Start -an-Innovation-Renaissance?from=rss and http://radar.oreilly.com/2010/12/diy-fabrication-hits-a-new-pri.html I would point out however that both fab@home (http://www.fabathome.org/) and reprap (http://www.reprap.org/wiki/Main_Page) are already at similar price points and either currently or in the next version will support both fabbing (adding material) and milling (removing material).
