You need to first root your phone. Then you need to copy a file
containing the keystore to your PC. Then you need to use some
java-based certificate manipulation tools to add the desired CA to the
keystore, and then you need to push the file back onto your phone
(after making /system writable). There are directions on the net, and
also an issue you can feel free to star on the bug tracker, along with
the other 5000 people who have it starred.
Some of the other suggestions in this thread may also work for you -
especially the K-9 setting for making the phone less fussy with
certificates. It would be nice to be able to manually add
certificates as trusted so that you don't have to bypass the checking
entirely.
