My son is living in Hamburg, Germany, until the end of the semester
(August) and his Windows EeePC is fubar. He can't get online for me
to do a LogMeIn, and our experience with shipping things through
customs means that we cant ship back and forth without months-long
delays.
All he needs is an OS with Firefox, Skype and some sort of word
processor. With google docs, he probably doesn't need the word
processor, either.
Does anyone have a contact in Hamburg who can do an Ubuntu install or
a windows repair at a cost less than shipping or acquisition
alternatives? Everyone I know from online tech communities is in
Bavaria or Eastern Germany.
