Re: [PLUG] k/ubuntu 11.10 break iPhone/iPod Touch connectivity?

Haven't tried banshee and imobiledevice-tools. Will have to give it a try. I could have sworn gtkpod and rhythmbox were working in the spring, but something must have happened to either iOS or gtkpod since then.

Shows up fine with lsusb, and as a camera with an iPod icon in dolphin.

gtkpod has been near useless for some time, IMHO.  banshee has been working for me.  The only problem I've had is needing to unregister and reregister (imobiledevice-tools, I think) the device after an upgrade.  Have you looked at any of the output from the various command-line tools?

I know the last two iterations of ubuntu could mount an iPod Touch in rhythmbox out of the box.  Amarok with some tweaking.  Trying to get it to work with my son's laptop, running Kubuntu 11.10 and just can't get ti to work.  Installed rhythmbox and gtkpod, still nothing.  Followed the documentation here, https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PortableDevices/iPhone  Still no good.

Nothing I could find specific to 11.10, so wondering if there is some regression.
