To me it looks more like it wants to see the FUSE library linked in statically, rather than as loaded on demand. Note that is says "external FUSE" in your --help line. It seems like your OS has moved to a newer version of NTFS3g, and to get the functionality you used to have, you may need to recompile, or use a user-mode mount alternative like pmount.
