Couldn't agree more on all points. If you're looking for something more netbook-like ChromeOS might be a serious contender ...
It comes preconfigured with full-disk encryption and if you use Google Apps...
Did anyone else fall out of their chair at the massive irony of *Google* encrypting your data so that no one else--but them--can get it?
