[PLUG] Chrome browser

Yesterday for various (web developer related) reasons I ended up on this screen in the Google chrome browser:

chrome://net-internals/#httpThrottling

I was not aware that there was all this functionality "under the hood" in Chrome. Pretty cool! I left the window open for later and more detailed exploration. Well, I should have paid more attention to the screen. Right across the top of the screen is a banner in red with white lettering that says: "Recording network events..."

This morning my computer is sluggish and swapping memory with every request.
Turns out that a single chromium process is taking 14 to 16% of the RAM. Guess who? Yes, the net-internals page.

Moral of the story: don't leave this sucker running!
