Re: [PLUG] Backup drive filling up

Buy another 500GB USB drive.  No need to delete anything.

Since we're on the topic on backups, my solution has been to run
rdiff-backup to an external USB drive. (Along with key things like my
dissertation in git repositories offsite.) It's a 500 GB drive
formatted as ext4. After 2 1/2 years of (nearly) daily incremental
backups I noticed today that I'm at 89% of capacity. I've read online
that ext* is happiest with at least 10% free space. On the other
hand, there's still 53GB free, which seems like plenty of breathing
room.

So, should I start deleting old backups, or can I hold off for a while
longer?
